This week I was asked by Adobe to showcase some of thier new CS pro features ,in an un sponsored agreement I might add; so purely out of love for Adobe stuff .
what is BrowserLab exactly?
a solution for cross-browser testing with ability to preview dynamic web pages and local content with multiple viewing, diagnostic, and comparison tools.
BrowserLab is a part of Adobe CS Live, a set of online services built to optimize the workflow of web developers and designers.
BrowserLab produces screenshots of websites from various web browsers across different platforms (Windows and OS X are currently supported). Compare screenshots side-by-side or overlaid upon one another. The service can access dynamic pages across the web, or viewed locally via Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.
As of October 2010, the BrowserLab for Firebug extension allows Firebug users to preview their page (live URL, or local edited source) in BrowserLab. This workflow allows using BrowserLab with site content that is behind a firewall or other security wall.

In this episode I’ll show you how to get started using the NEW CS Review service, which integrates into your Adobe CS5 applications. I’ll start a review in InDesign CS5 and then add comments via the web. We’ll return to InDesign to see the comments right in the layout.
In this video, Adobe Product Manager Scott Fegette shows how to use Adobe® BrowserLab for testing your cross-browser layouts with Adobe Dreamweaver® CS5 software.

very interesting article thanks now I can get comments directly in photoshop – I will surly utilise this soon
I came across browserlab about a year ago and have used it quite a bit. It’s a very simple (free!) service and very handy for testing layouts in multiple browsers – in fact it’s faster using browserlab to test for IE 6, 7 and 8 than firing up my windows netbook to do the same thing!
Smart tech Adobe, and well executed.
really excellent pot thanmkyou so much for sharing this information – me and my mum will gather read this later for sure happy blogging
This is a really cool product! I think I’m going to look more into this.
