• For Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ score to David Fincher’s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,” we set out to create a unique, limited edition package that highlighted the album as a standalone work of art, independent from the film but connected to it. Ice and winter were a major theme in the tone of the music, and as such became the inspiration for the look and feel of the package.

  An acrylic “ice” slipcase houses a book of six vinyl records, an exclusive fold-out poster by Neil Kellerhouse, and an 8gb USB razor blade pendant inspired by Lisbeth’s necklace in the film. The USB drive contains the album in high definition 96k FLAC. Each package is numbered in an edition of 3000, and each is personally signed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

  We had a unique opportunity here to create something “anti-commercial.” There’s no title on the cover, there are no glossy photos of the actors from the movie, no obnoxious copyright lines or logos, no interference from the film studio. We made the package about texture and mood, prioritizing complementing the music over branding the film.

Blogging is essential for your business because it can help to get traffic which in turn can help to get clients.

This in essence is the purest form of an SEO strategy; SEO is similar to fine tuning an engine while content is the engine itself. If that has a lot of power and reliability the entire car works better but without it there is no momentum.

Above all, a blog that’s regularly updated with content is in the eyes of Google the ultimate website. This is because they value fresh posts serve to people searching for content.

Blogs don’t have to have articles, your latest offers, reviews of you working, photos, sales information, the possibilities are endless.

For freelancers and small to medium businesses the possibilities of a client for free or a very low cost is highly lucrative when you look at the cost of advertising through traditional avenues.

However that could be a bit optimistic as from my experience it takes a lot of traffic to convert to a client.

These days you can hire somebody to write articles for you if you’re pressed for time.  I recommend you write yourself for authenticity and also to save the money for your business.

Solving problems with posts is a good idea because you can link to services you offer yourself.

An example is in if you have a web design business you can describe how blogging is good for business (like in this post)and then link to a design service. This can also be linked with keywords that people are searching for. If you know with kw research, 500 people are looking to solve a problem such as finding clients through blogging within your local area; it is possible to write an article specifically for those 500 people. If not too many people have done this already stand a good chance of leading those people from your article to your service.

The question you might have is do blog readers turn into clients and customers?

The answer is yes they do, it is possible to get clients and customers from people reading your blogs and many many people do this. It takes a lot of good quality articles, and some good online reputation and personality to create the atmosphere where people trust you. When you have a good quality relationship with the people who read your blog then as with any good friendship asking them to refer friends or buy for themselves is extremely straightforward.

 It can take a lot of faith to write regularly without much progress, even with a thousand visitors a day and more it can be difficult to find clients and customers. However because a blog can be sold, any traffic from articles can be viewed as an investment for the long-term future. So even with your hard work and determination not seemingly going anywhere you have something to show for it other than practice with writing and sharing your knowledge.

Social media is important for you as business and an individual because it is a way of communicating more easily and more effectively than ever before. Before social media if you wanted to contact a company you’d have to either call them or fax them. Now with the advent of Twitter and Facebook becoming global tools. You can send a tweet to let literally anyone know what your opinion is.

So for example if you want to contact someone such as John Snow you can send him a tweet and if its an intelligent comment he  is more than likely to reply.  Before social media existed this was impossible. For an individual it is important because it means you can contact the companies and people directly about things that are important to you but may not warrant a telephone conversation. Indeed consumer telephone lines usually don’t include people’s opinions and if they do it’s not a very conducive channel of communication.

For a professional social media means that you can communicate between businesses and clients  with many more mediums that have recently become available; For example video,  not only is it now possible to communicate with people online with a free video call its  possible to create a video have it published and publicly available then have it shared amongst literally anybody in the world for free. Even 15 years ago this would not even know been conceivable. With their digital video not even being invented yet. It is important to look back and realize how far we’ve come. It is literally a Klondike with people who realize the power of social media and utilizing it to increase their business finding clients more and more easily.

However unlike the Klondike where there is a limited amount of gold the more people who use social media better it becomes.

So  essentially social media is important because it means you can communicate with anyone in a completely new way . People can now express their opinions, their knowledge and expertise with a  blog and share amongst friends and colleagues and potential customers for fivewith the click of a buton.

Hopefully this all rings true and you get it – social media is the way of the future

In 2010, scientists succeeded in recreating a miniature version of the Big Bang.
Within a few years, some of the universe’s deepest secrets may be unlocked.

Genesis is another self-initiated personal project that I’ve written, designed and animated single handedly. It’s a 3D short film with a story that revolves around a machine that has the power of creating new, miniature universes. By controlling the universe rotation, it can speed up the time and evolution of the miniature worlds, and with the help of a fancy search engine it can pin point and extract terrestrial planets. Well, it’s not very scientifically correct by any means.. Or is it..? You might live in a manufactured miniature world..

Anyway, what would mankind do if they possessed the power of creating new worlds? Probably use it for creating some kind of decorative snow globe. Guaranteed gift of the year.

Well, it’s not all science fiction, I actually got inspired after reading some interesting articles about the European science agency CERN, who designed the world’s biggest particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider. This accelerator shoot beams around a freezing 27km concrete ring underground near Geneva, smashing atoms together in search of the elusive “God particle” believed present at the Big Bang. Since it began operating at the end of March 2010, CERN engineers and physicists have created billions of miniature versions of the Big Bang, revealing fundamental insights into the nature of the cosmos.

Also, at Lancaster University in UK, physicists unraveling the secrets of how to build a universe. In fact, they have already formed one, or something very much like it. This scientific breakthrough lies in the bottom of a chamber no larger than a pinky finger, filled with helium and cooled to 0.0003 degrees Fahrenheit above absolute zero.
